Day Ramblers Walk Greenock Tour Scotland

Sunday, July 06, 2008

Today we went hiking to Kelly Cut and Cornalees, between Greenock and Inverkip, with the Eastwood Ramblers.

Greenock is a former fishing village (1500's), and became a major trading and shipbuilding point. It was also the point of departure for emigrants to America. Inverkip however, has another "history", as it was the centre for witchcraft during the 1600's.

Though it was a rainy 10 mile walk, we were able to enjoy some beautiful views of the Highlands, the river Clyde and the Loch Thom. Here is a selection of pictures.
