Customized Tour of Glasgow and Paisley

Saturday, July 12, 2008

Today I am presenting some pictures and of our day tour of Glasgow.

We went to the Mackintosh House, called "House for an Art Lover". This house is a modern-looking building and was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, a famous Glaswegian architect (1868-1928). He had a considerable influence on European design.

We also visited the Burrell Collection. The Burrell Collection is composed of more than 9,000 items, from all over the world. It was a gift to the city of Glasgow in 1944 by Sir William Burrell and his wife Constance.

We also had a quick tour of Paisley Abbey.

Here is a selection of pictures.
